The Vacation Bible School at New Road is an annual event. Brother Gochenour heads up the event, but selects a coordinator for the event. They work together to decide on a theme, teachers, materials and how to carry out the plans. From year to year the date may change with a large group of children. There is a lot of work to be done in preparation for the VBS with many taking part not just teachers.
This year VBS will be held on Monday through Thursday, August 11-14, from 6:00-8:00 PM, for children 4 years of age through 6th grade. You may begin to pre-register your children, grandchildren, friend, relatives, neighbors. Registration forms will be available in the foyer. More details will be coming soon.
Many of the children that come are from “outside” New Road and this becomes a huge tool for getting new members and a beginning for our Summer Surge in attendance.
There is a need for all types of volunteers in getting ready and putting it on. WE NEED YOU!
Our youth group is composed of all students in the 7th through 12th grades. Our purpose is “To compel a young generation to cherish Jesus Christ and extend hope to the world He died to save”.
Bible classes are offered for the Jr. High students (7th-8th) and High School (9th-12th) every Sunday and Wednesday evening.
There are many activities offered for the youth such as: monthly devotionals, lock-ins and campouts, summer youth activities, summer Bible camp and participation in the Bible search program.
Coordinators for the program are John Rose, Brother Gochenour, Steve Hancock, Carrie Gochenour, and Mallory Davidson.
