August Events

Friday August 27 & Saturday August 28 - Garage sale at the Rodeo Pawn parking lot on Hwy. 77 in Robinson. All proceeds from this will go toward Lianna Saucedo's medical expenses.

Saturday, August 28, New Road will host a Gospel Singing beginning at 7:00 P.M. The New Road Boys Quartet will perform and there will be congregational singing.

Sunday, August 29 - There will be a potluck luncheon after morning services to celebrate our annual homecoming and 7th anniversary.

Sunday, September 5th - is promotion day for all our Bible classes. All students should go to their new classroom on the fifth.

Sunday, September 5th - hungry Henry will begin visiting our Bible classes again. Please bring a canned good to feed Henry.

Monday, September 6th - The church office will be closed for labor day.

Thursday, September 9th - The elders and deacons will meet at 7:00 PM.

Friday September 10th - Excerise class resumes at 10:00 AM in the fellowship room.

Friday September 10th - Ladies fun night out will be held from 6:45 - 8:45 P.M. in the fellowship room. Bring your dinner with you or eat before you come. Bring any arts or crafts you are working on or your favorite game to play or just come and enjoy the fellowship.

A mid-week meal is on hold during the summer and should resume in the Fall.

New Road Cookbook - A cookbook is now in the making. A committee of women has been formed and will be working together diligently to put together a cookbook using our members recipes. We all know we have the best cooks right here at New Road. The cookbook will be put together in stages. Different recipes will be requested every few months, giving everyone plenty of time to dig around for their best recipes. You may leave your recipe in the "Recipe Box" in the foyer or email it to Amber Howell. Please be sure to include your name. We are requesting recipes for soups, stews, and salads through the end of the year.
